New computer, what security packages do I need? I just bought a new computer and I wanted to know what software I should purchase? I do NOT want to buy any free programs, I had avast and spydoctor on my last computer and it became riddled with viruses. Why my yahoo email address worked but my husbands did not with our new home computer windows vista/window mail? We have followed the pop and smtp server info but his still does not work and we keep getting error messages.

why my computer is the only one to disconnect in the home network? For some bizarre reason, at random times desktop 1 disconnects from the network. When i say disconnects, the computer sends packages of information but the router does not reply, therefore no connectivity. To resolve the problem i disable and enable the connection from the Network Connections in the control panel. Disconnection may occur anytime, i haven't noticed a pattern. The laptop though, has network connection while desktop 1 doesn't. Ive also tried bypassing the switch and connecting the wire form the router directly to desktop 1 and it still disconnects. I downloaded Picture Package on my computer, but how do I get videos from my camcorder onto my computer?
