Do I get a Windows 7 free update or discount?

I bought my Dell Vostro 1500 on April 2008 with Windows Vista Home Premium. I know about new computers coming with free upgrades to Windows 7, do I get the free upgrade too or do I only get a discount or do I have to pay full price?

1. No only for computers bought in June and future
2. No, they hadn't started releasing free upgrade coupons when you had brought your computer. Also their Pre-Order discount is also expired so if you still want to get a genuine copy Windows 7 then you'll have to buy it for full price.
3. No free upgrade. That's only for some purchases beginning June 26, 2009. You would be able to use the discounted upgrade versions, however. If you have other computers, you might want to look into the Family Pack coming out this fall in particular.
4. You will have to purchase an upgrade to Windows 7 since the offer for free upgrades began at the end of June. The upgrade will be available for purchase starting Oct. 22, 2009. Jeff Windows Outreach Team
