What is the Job of Computer Hardware Technician who has done Diploma in Hardware ?

i just want to know what sort of things a person have to deal with. I m not talking of a graduate Guy.I want to know the job of a diploma holder in hardware & networking.If the motherboard,SMPS,Hardisk,Ups is not functioning then have they have to repair it.Is this the job of computer hardware technicain.Or they just have to replace the nom fucntional part like motherboard ? I know my question is not making sense & It's very confusing to understand i just to know the job profile of computer technician who are employed to maitain computers.That's it?

1. Most of the computer field is slowly moving to temp jobs (aka contracts). No stable jobs, no insurance, or no actual holidays, and less pay. The ones that have the perm jobs, rarely leave. Not an easy field anymore. A computer tech diagnose, repair, replace, install computers. Networking usually is installing computers, network cards, network cables, possible installing hubs/gateways/routers.
