Is there some way to use my other computer hardware to do the job of a graphics card? ?

Like emulate a graphics card or something? I have good hardware besides the graphics card, plenty of RAM and processing power. I want to play a game that is blown away by my hardware besides the graphics card, so, is there any way to let my CPU and RAM take the load?

Nope. GPU processing is VERY computing intensive and having some CPU power available is simply not enough. You can try the Scitech OpenGL drivers and see how they compare to "native" OpenGL driver performance. (The Scitech ones are free)
I don't think so. Graphic cards (even on board ones) need their own CPU called a GPU (graphic processing unit). It has an instruction set of its own, & cannot be emulated by a CPU.... they are simply designed differently. Some graphic cards do allow you to use system RAM for memory, however, this helps the resolution rather than fps for gaming. regards, Philip T
Bad move! A dedicated graphics card, is to relieve the processor and ram resources. You need all of the processor and ram resources to run the O/S (Operating System), and the program, (Game) A dedicated graphics card has it's own processor (GPU. Graphics Processing Unit), and it's own ram, (Graphics ram) This frees up the processor and ram resources, and makes the game run better. Solution? Graphics card. Bad idea? Trying to increase the Virtual Memory. There will be people who tell you to just increase your Virtual Memory. Why is it a bad idea? Because your computer needs this also to run the O/S, and the program. Windows sets the size of the virtual memory. Rule of thumb, is 1-1/2 times the amount of ram memory. (Also called System Memory) Let's say you change it. Now the game may not run as good. What have you accomplished? Zero! After you turn your computer off, and later turn it back on, Windows will have reset the virtual memory size back, anyway. Just thought I'd tell you.
