Should i do chip level computer hardware course???

Basically I am pursuing B-Tech from Computer Science.And iam also selected by TCS.But i am very much interested in computer hardware as it is my side interest. My joining in TCS will be in December.But I want to do hardware course in this gap. Should i go with the chip level because i want that i should be eligible for hardware as well as software jobs.And if yes than from which institute i should do this course. I live in Lucknow. I want to do this course in 6 months.
