how can i buy a computer off a friend and have proof of the sale?

sorry about the sketchy wording i want to buy a computer from a friend but i need a way of verifying the sale.. not just a verbal agreement. anyway i can do this without using ebay? (don't want him to put it on ebay as others will bid on it)

1. Just have him write up a bill of sale that you both sign and date. That should be enough for most purposes.
2. just have him write out a receipt.
3. Get a receipt with the make and serial number of the computer and any other equipment that comes with it like the monitor, printer, etc.
