How do i download the right software for my Multimedia Audio Controller?

I have no sound! Its hell! Iv read all these other questions on various different forums but i can't find the answer :(. On my computer i have right clicked hardware and on my Multimedia Audio Controller it has an exclamation mark. When i try to install/update it the computer says i dont have the right software so it cant install it. How do i download the software? I have a profile for my computer but i dont know which information i need. processor, drives etc. Please help me as soon as. Thanks xx

1. Try this - open up the computer and find the motherboard manufacturer and the model number - write these down. Most reputable motheboard manufacturers maintain a website with updates, software, etc for their motherboards. Find the correct website and usually under the support section you can select your motherboard and find the required downloads. Hope this helps,
