Cant Install any hardware on my comuter. FOund New Hardware wizard does not work and i cant use USB devices!?

Hi, about 4 months ago my computer stopped recognizing USB devices for some reason and everytime i plugged them in the new hardware wizard popped up, i clicked next and it would search for about 2 seconds then say windows cannot install the new hardware. All this stuff was on my compute rbefore and none of it works now, printers, mp3 players, flash drives, even my usb keyboard, i had to buy a new one with a ps2 connection! I looked thorugh forums and they told me to delete all USB drivers and then uninstall all USB devices, port and hosts off the device manager and when i turned it on they should reset themselves but when i did turn it on all that happens is Found NEw Hardware pops up, with unknown devices, and when i click install it just runs for 2 seconds and says it cant install them. I trying leaving power supply off for 2 hours and still no luck. Ive also downloaded the chipset drivers from intel and no luck there. Ive also tried manually installing and that doesnt work either!

1. Multiple problems could cause this, I suggest cleaning the USB outlets and re-installing the drivers. If this doesn't work, bring it your local repair shop.
2. I am assuming we are talking about Windows... It sounds like your system is missing the drivers for various USB devices. Perform a "repair" installation of Windows, and it will replace any missing/damaged system files. To do this boot off your Windows installation CD, it will see an existing installation and ask if you want to repair or install a fresh copy.
3. sounds like it your BIOS (Basic Input Output System) this is seperate software loaded on a special chip on the motherboard, go to your manufacturers website or the manufacturer of the motherboard's and download the latest BIOS FLASH available if this doesn't work use this facility from the following website freewarefiles.com - glary utilities certain registry entries can cause features to become disabled or irratic in their behaviour use this facility to get rid of any of these from your computer, i used it on my computer a few times and it found all sorts of files that shouldn't be on after an uninstall or had become corrupt so deleted them if that doesn't work reload windows completely as core file may have become corrupt or uninstalled by other programs if all else fails take it to a computer shop as you may have a hardware failure on the usb card bus hope you get it sorted
