please check this dirt-cheap Gaming pc specs?

can anyone tell me if these specs for a dirt-cheap "gaming" pc are good enough to run recent games fairly well? 4gb ram 2.8 Ghz pentium dual core 2mb cache (oc-able to 4Ghz) asus nvidia geforce 9800gt OC 512mb all for less than 500CAD. of course with the case and whatnot hdd, case and psu doesn't really matter here. i have another pc with 2.6Ghz core 2 quad q6700, 4gb ram, and nvidia geforce 8600gt other than the gpu, everything else is awesome. for my cheap pc, i am worried about the cpu, i know the rest is perfect. thanx yeah, the lower cpu is an e6300 pentium dual core. can anyone suggest a better cpu for that box, max 150 cad another thing, both computers have 1.5TB HDD (3x 500gb), and a 750watt psu. Also, have an antec 900 also, i need two different computers, i don't want to upgrade my quad core.

  1. I'm guessing you're looking at an Intel Pentium E6300? If it is that processor, I would suggest getting something else especially if it's for gaming. But the second computer you listed sounds better, the Q6700 is WAY better than the Pentium E6300, you already have the 4 gigs of RAM and all you would need to do is swap out your 8600 for the 9800 if that's what you want. No point in buying a whole new computer at all if you can just make that one cheap upgrade.
  2. ur pcs are quite good for gaming but to have an absolute monster pc i reccomend 3.0 ghz+ cpu and maybe vistaor sp3
  3. I'm guessing your talking about a e6300 instead of a Intel Pentium D 915. If that's the case it might struggle for more recent games unless overclocked (good luck with that 4Ghz you've got more .....than I do). And don't underestimate your hdd, most hdd's are what bottleneck peoples computers. Might want to list what type of games your looking to play. Edit- A C2D e7400 is about as close as your going to get to 150 CAD, there's also some deals with motherboards if you don't already have one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115206
  4. the cpu is not good. also the psu does matter. high end cards need good psus.
  5. There's no such thing as a "good cheap Gaming PC", period. Upgrade the PC you've got with better graphics. $500 should just about do it!
