  1. A usb 2.0 pci card. Radio shack or circuit city has them for about 25.00$ Ive seen them at wallmart in the past.
  2. Yes, get a cheap pci usb 2.0 card. You can usually pick one up for about $20 at fry's or best buy or somesuch. If it doesn't work return it. Or try newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2010010073+1187112431&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=59&Description=usb&Ntk=all
  3. I had a 5 port usb 2.0 put in (and installed) by my local computer shop, just last week. It cost $40-00 Australian for supply and fit.
  4. Download enhanced drivers.
  5. You will have to buy a new usb 2.0 card. You cannot upgrade usb 1.1 only ports.
  6. First you have to make sure your computer is USB 2.0 compatible, meaning that your computer processor is fast enough to keep up with the USB 2.0 transfer rate. I have my original computer still that is about 10 yrs old and the processor is not fast enough. Otherwise your USB 2.0 board will work not faster than a standard USB board that you currently have on your computer. USB 2.0 came out late 2000 early 2001 so any computer manufactured around that time and later should be compatible. Also earliest Windows system to update is Windows 2000...anything 98 or older won't update. If it is then you can buy a USB 2.0 card for your computer. They are not too bad to install, pretty much a unplug the internal one (orginal USB panel) and pop the new one right in. Some info about USB is located at the attached link...
