Can I buy an Apple computer with student discount without being a student?

- Don't think so.
- no-usually you have to show proof. A student ID or registration or something.
- No , you will need I D. to prove that you are a Student.
- No because that is the whole point of the student discount! To be a STUDENT!
- Uh, no. They require you to send proof of your Student ID before purchase. Most colleges give out a new ID every period on the semester/trimester/quarter, so showing a Spring 2007 ID for Fall 2007 would disqualify you from such a purchase. (High School ID's are usually annual.) Microsoft, on the other hand, sold me Academic versions of Office and Visual Studio. I am a student, but they never asked for my ID once. It depends on the company/retailer.
- NO
- Depends on where you gonna buy it.. But most probably you cant buy.. Maybe if you look like a student..
- Hi ronald c, I'm afraid not, but you might be able to get help from a student. It's just like hanging out in front of a liquor store to get somebody to buy you some beer. :-D Better yet, why don't you buy a refab Mac? They're cheap, keep their warranty and it's a good buy. Check some at PowerMax: http://www.powermax.com/ Best of luck to you. --Rick
- Not sure where everyone is getting their information from here, but YES you can buy an apple computer without proving you are a student. Go to www.apple.com than go to STORE Go to the bottom right hand side at the bottom To the Education part You only have to state what school you go to, you don't have to prove you go to it. Another way to do it is to call the tech line, they will also give you the discount
