Desktop Computer Packages

My computer only sends packages but does not receive anyone.?

Hi there! My problem is the next one: I've got a laptop which is connected to the internet (I've tried with both connections) but I cannot acced to the internet, the computer has detected the connection but if I see, it is only sending packages and not receiving anyone... what could it be and how do I solve it? Thanks since now and blessings!

1. Try going to command prompt and pinging an address. Start > Run > Type in "cmd" (without the "" marks) > type in "ping www.google.com" (without the "" marks). If the ping is successful then it could be down to a firewall blocking you, bad configuration of a router, bad signal if you're using something like 3G etc.
2. Call your internet provider about it. Their mail server may be having problems.
