Compaq IPAQ desktop computer help!?

Ok, heres the deal, I got a Compaq IPAQ with windows 200 on it, it runs fine, but heres the problem it had no cd drive in it so I attached an external one with a usb, it recognises it fine when the computer is up and running but I want to edit the bios to boot from the external cd drive but when I go into the bios there is only two boot devices, you cant change them you can only change if one comes first or second... I have no clue what the model number is so I cant find the updated bios on www.compaq.com I need help please anything will be helpful

1. The problem with the USB drive is that it only works when windows is up and running. And since your system is running windows 2000 i am asumming that it's pretty old. So the bios won't support booting from USB devices.
