Build PC Help???????????????????????????

Hi sorry, this is my first thread and i want to build my own custom pc. However, i have never build a pc before and only know the basics. On top of that i am on a tight budget, $400-600 AUD and this makes things hard. I intend to game on it (Cod, L4D, Mabye even Crysis if it works). I know that its a lot to ask on such a tight budget but i have spent hours googling and have come across these sites. http://www.hardware-revolution.com/budget-gaming-computer/ /forum-replies-archive.cfm/1271645.html http://www.maxishine.com.au/forums//viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9472 /forum-replies-archive.cfm/1371323.html http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7586_102-0.html?threadID=274309 Now i have read up on all of these but i don't know which ones the best one, where to buy the part e.t.c and was hoping you guys could help as i am really muddled up right now.

  2. Hi there, When building a PC the most important thing to do is check compatibility. It may look really nice having all the parts you like but if they are not compatible you up a creek. For example: the CPU has to be compatible with the motherboard, likewise the graphics card, also the RAM has to be the correct type and frequency for the motherboard. This type of information should be listed on the part website (for ex. Gigabyte Motherboards website lists all compatible CPUs and RAM types for each mobo) As for buying parts have a look on umart (www.umart.com.au), static ice (www.staticice.com.au) or MSY (www.msy.com.au) Hope this helps, Jakko
