I want to build my own cheap pc: are these specs any good?
I want to build a cheap pc, and found the following items online. Do you think this would be an appropriate list of parts, or could a better fit be found for the same cost - I can't afford any more! - Power Supply, Sound card, Extra fans,
- try here for a better price http://ctidirect.co.uk/
- looks cool, but it depends on what you want to use it for. May i suggest www . 3adl . com. Don't trust the site, talk to them on the phone. they are quite good. They do have some cool stuff.
- Mobo is to expensive, I would go for a R780 based and spend more on CPU (5000+). Video - go for one with DDR3 and crossfire. A R780 mobo will have its own video out and you can add a 3470 card later if you want. DDR2 OCZ 6400 2GB is under £30 now and faster.
- Very similar to the Budget Pc build in June 2008 PC-Pro magazine. They got the parts from www.scan.co.uk. + video guide at www.pcpro.co.uk/links/buildapc
- they are ok for disc drive i like the http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16827135156 it rocks and for harddrive you should get a seagate barracuda 300gig and for proccessor i like intel core 2 duo e8600 but if your going cheap mabey sumthin like core 2 duo e8400 so you can save some money, i just built a fast as hell computer with newegg.com they are amazing you should check them out and email me your wishlist with a price range and i will tell you how to improve as for compatability problems you should ask my uncle he runs veraxis networks you should google it
- Try this place it is cheep and a very good place to buy computer parts. www.aria.co.uk Based in manchester. Also on that system you want no less than a 450 to 500 Watt PSU. I build all my own systems from aria and sell them on and make really good proffit from it as it is cheep to buy from. c.smith697@yahoo.co.uk
