Question about a cheap pc vs mac mini?

I like macs better than pc's for many reasons. BUT the only thing that sucks for me is when it comes to video editing. I'm only 13 years old so it would be VERY hard to get the money to buy a nice imac/mac pro with final cut.Its already hard enough saving my money for a mac mini. the mac mini is $599 for 1gb ddr3 ram, 160gb hdd, and a 2.00ghz core 2 duo processor. on dell.com i customized a pc with 2gb ddr2 ram, 320gb hard drive, 2.8ghz core 2 duo processor and the GRAND total was about $480(with tax + shipping) I already have purchased sony vegas pro 8 and i can only run it on windows machine(meaning i would have to buy another copy of windows for the mac, therefore increasing the price.) so my question is should i go with the mac or the pc?

1. Yeah... Macs are stupidly overpriced. Get the PC. They're way better, especially for video editing (it's true)

4. since you arent professional video editing @ Adobe premier you should try go for PC. Good thing about PC is you can upgrade/replace hardware very easy and cheap. I can strip out hardware on my Sony Vaio desktop and put new hardware in there but in Mac, you cant since they lock up everything ,they require you to get your system to Apple store to upgrade which cost much more than PC. MOST NEW MAC SYSTEM ARE BASED ON X86 architecture which is wat PC had used for 30 years.
5. Read your own question. Your logic is right in front of you. Why buy a Mac for twice the price of a comparable PC, turn around and dump more into it with windows, just to run windows? A Whole lot more hardware and software compatibility on a PC. You might get windows running but the hardware availability is slim and none. 2 Years from now when that new software you want to run needs that next generation graphics system, you can buy a card for the PC, you will be buying an entirely new Mac tho. AMEN DONTKNOW. 30 years here and Apple chose a path that they still havent recovered from! 30 years later they decide to make the decision everyone else did 30 plus years ago. Friggin robbers who prey on the unknowing public. I,d like to meet that boob on the commercials so I could stick his head up his bunghole where it belongs.
6. What would you know about Computers other than hearsay, I work for over 25 years with computers I'm 58 and I avoid apple since the APPLE 2C, Why they over priced and over here, nothing makes me more mad then here say and Price Gouging.
