- It is a ok pc for general use. Not for gaming obviously.
- Do you plan on buying a HDD and a GPU? Or are you simply going with onboard graphics? I agree with the above poster its good for everything but gaming. I'm personally not a big fan of Micro ATX motherboards and cases since modern day video cards are quite large, so you may often find that they won't fit into your case. This is what i would build just as a reference AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7GHz + BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX Combo Deal http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.153839 Antec Three Hundred http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042 SAPPHIRE 100265L Radeon HD 4830 512MB + OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 Combo Deal http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.152378 LG Black 2MB Cache IDE 22X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136147 CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005 Western Digital Caviar GP WD5000AACS 500GB 5400 to 7200 RPM 16MB Cache http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136149 Total: $528.89 After Rebates: $458.89 Gives you a lot of room for upgrade, can get a Phenom II series CPU, another HD 4830 to run it in Crossfire, all of them have quality reviews and quality brands.
- that motherboard is only $119 on newegg.com might want to reprice on newegg and see if it all gets cheaper. I know they have DVD drives for around $23 as well.
- You realize of course that you will NOT be able to fit a 700W power supply into that MicroATX case, right? Not that you need one anyway-- Your microATX motherboard can only take one video card and will NOT be able to run Crossfire or SLI. The stock PSU in that microATX case will be enough for anything you can possibly stuff into that tiny case.
