My compaq computer desktop says disk read error?what can i do to fix it?

Didn't like the answers you got the last time you asked this question? (An hour ago) It is your hard drive that has or is failing. You are going to have to replace your hard drive and reinstall your operating system.
There are many reasons you get a disk read error but you didn't give much information on your computer, your operating system etc. Disk read errors can be complicated if your not used to dealing with them. Try to boot into safe mode if you can by tapping F8 at boot up. You will see allot of drivers loading on a black screen. If it works. go to start, run, and type cmd and hit enter. A black box will appear, type chkdsk /r/f then hit enter. Tell it yes and reboot. It will take a bit to run. Make sure all your connections are tight. Other than that there isn't much I can help with without more information.
