what does error code #00173 & 00163 mean on a 760XL IBM Laptop computer?

2. 163 is "time and date not set" error. cmos battery most likely lost its juice. 173 is " configuration data was lost" error. once again cmos battery is most likely the problem. you may need to replace it. down below is the link to download the hardware manual from the IBM/Lenovo website
