does any body know how to set up an ibm 560e laptop computer?

i have just brought an ibm 560e laptop think pad but we cant seem to get any picture or set up on the screen so we need to ask someone if they know how this should work.

  1. hi guys i suggest you visit IBM support online at http://www-306.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?doctypeind=10&template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FosInstallationLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=ibm then go to the operating and installations issues tab
  2. Make sure you have it plugged in or the battery charged. then if you turn it on and nothing happens: A: your battery or charger may need replaced B: battery may not be making proper contact
  3. Did you buy the Thinkpad new or used? It may not have an operating system installed. Try getting into the set up by doing the following: Hold down the F1 key and turn the power on.
