Computer help! Is there any way to replace a Intdetect thing on a laptop?

I need some computer advice. I accidentally erased the intdetect thing on my 2000 IBM laptop. It is required for start up. Is there any possible way for it to be put back on there or is that not possible?

1. go to the manufacturer's website support section, they typically have all the required drivers available for download. if you can't start up your computer normally, try starting up in safe mode with networking (so that you can access the internet).
