- You need to reinstall your operating system. over time, you have collected several additional root systems that tag along, when booting up. delete all but the most necessary programs that are in you "Start" folder and in your "tray". this will shorten your boot time greatly. wer
- Go into the power settings and check screen savers and auto hibernate. As far as the booting, check the antovirus and make sure it is not doing a full scan at startup. Cleanup the start with msconfig and eliminate all bloat ware that is not needed for start operation.
- Click Start, and then control pannel, power options and on the first screen it should show Hibernate, Stand By. Turn hard drives for all of them I have Never. That should solve your problem.
