Is a IBM thinkpad t series laptop a reliable computer?
Public Comments
- they wouldn't have sold a billion of them if they weren't.
- I have a couple of thinkpads and have foundd them to be great systems and each to upgrade with the major support from IBM
- ibm leased 1000,s of them to the corporate world, and after a few years hard use, they were resold to the public, that proves there very durable, and because of the mass production new parts are available and resonably priced
- IBM Thinkpads are built like a tank.. they are good reliable laptops that has been around for many years.. I purchased my first laptop back in 1996, and it was IBM Thinkpad 701CS with Intel 486DX/75 CPU and the famous "butterfly" keyboards.. after 10+ years, I still use it once in a while to play old arcade games in DOS version and stuff.. battery is shot (of course, after 10+ years), but other than that, it still boots up old windows 3.11 and runs great.. it is a most durable strong bulletproof laptop I have ever seen.. anyhoo, currently I have IBM (also lenovo) Thinkpad T60 with Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 15" XGA TFT display.. it is a sweet unit and I use it even more than DELL desktop PC that I have at home.. it still comes with my not so favorite pencil eraser mouse pointing device that has been around forever, but at least it comes WITH touch pad.. I hope this helps!
