Problem: Always leave laptop on. Today went to comp, saw black screen, said: PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable PXE - M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent. Operating System not found Rebooted; booted up fine. Walked away. Later got error message again, did same steps, same results. Called IBM. Went to BIOS, changed boot order. Hard drive, then DVD drive, then all else. Said processor might be problem, but didn’t think was hard drive. Walked away. Later screen wouldn’t come on (stayed black, but disk on). Rebooted, booted up fine. Comp emitted clicking/screeching noises. Blue screen appeared, said: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
